Scott Miller

About

Scott L. Miller is a St. Louis native and licensed clinical social worker with a background in psychiatric and medical settings. Before authoring six novels and two novellas, he worked with a diverse clientele, an experience that helped shape the psychological depth, emotional tension, and human complexity found throughout his fiction.

Inspired by authors such as John Gardner and Jeremiah Healy, Miller enjoys writing in first person and creating stories driven by suspense, mystery, and the inner lives of his characters. His first three novels are part of the Mitchell Adams series, featuring a social worker in private practice in St. Louis. Prodigal blends fiction and literature with elements of suspense and mystery. The fourth installment in the Mitchell Adams series, Boundless, is now published, along with his sixth novel, The Nostradamus Society.

Miller resides in Chesterfield, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Outside of writing, he enjoys group trivia with friends, card games, horseracing, singing along to music, critiquing movies, cooking, and changing song lyrics for laughs. He loves walking with his two beagles, Romeo and Juliet, and wishes he had room at home for his other favorite animals: horses and whales. He has one daughter and a great group of friends.
